Klinische Psychologie des Erwachsenenalters

End of post-qualifications in the "old" Bachelor + further options (as of 01.06.2022 + 01.08.2022).

If you still have to make up courses from the "old" psychology bachelor's degree (Stud.beginn up to and including WiSe 19/20), but these are no longer regularly held, you will find a list here with the courses from the "new" bachelor's degree that can be taken as equivalent.

Please note that in such a case you should inform the respective lecturer that you are a make-up student from the "old" bachelor's degree, so that he/she can clip you differently at the end of the course if necessary.

Exam dates for students in the "old" Bachelor will certainly continue to be offered until SoSe 2023 according to the transitional regulation (to be found in the new Bachelor Examination Regulations).

§ 25 Transitional regulation
Students who began their studies in the bachelor's degree program in
Psychology shall take the Bachelor's examination no later than the summer semester of
semester 2023 at the latest in accordance with the previous provisions. In cases of § 26 para. 5 Hoch-
SchG, this deadline may be extended appropriately; the examination board shall
examination board.

End of post-qualification in the "old" Bachelor + further options
(Status 01.06.2022 + 01.08.2022)

Excerpt from the communication in the departmental council on 01.06.2022:

The offer "post-qualification" (an opportunity for Bachelor students under the "old" examination regulations to attend additional courses in order to qualify for the "new" Psychotherapy Master) was again very popular in WS 2021/22 and SS 2022. Students were offered additional courses (e.g. lectures on "Professional Law and Ethics" or "Psychopharmacology") and were able to attend courses from the master's program or the new bachelor's program. Almost 270 certificates were issued. To date, "equivalence certificates" have also been issued to approximately 50 students since April 2022, meaning that at least 50 students from Landau have been able to apply for (often several) new master's places across Germany this summer semester.

Funding for the offer (one-time grant from the university) has been phased out for some time. The costs for the offer (e.g., an assistant as well as the teaching assignments for additional courses) are currently borne by the AG Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Adulthood. Furthermore, the first cohort of the new bachelor will be ready in SS 2023 and these students, unlike students under the "old" system, have no other options to become a psychotherapist than through one of the very rare "new" psychotherapy master's places. Thus, due to the scarcity of the new psychotherapy master's places compared to the number of graduates of the new bachelor's degree, the "post-qualification" offer will end with the end of the summer semester 2022. All clinically interested students according to the "old" system, who do not have a degree yet, have the possibility to study e.g. one of the new General Masters (and to make sure to get at least 1 "clinical" ECTS) and to go this way into the previous "old" training to become a psychological psychotherapist.

Addendum from 1.8.2022: All students of the old bachelor, who still want to catch up on their qualifications, have the possibility to take the 20_B.O. lectures from the new bachelor (see below). Lectures from the new Bachelor (20_B.O.1 - Professional Law and Ethics; 20_B.O.3 - Fundamentals of Pharmacology, 20_B.O.4 - Introductory Educational Psychology for Prospective Psychotherapists) and obtain a "Sitzschein" for them. Please clarify the exact procedure in each case with the respective lecturer.
