The agEnS joint project is an innovative pilot and demonstration project for the use of geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Graben. The aim of the project is to develop a new strategy for exploiting geothermal deposits in the Speyer and Schifferstadt region.
The RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau is investigating social acceptance as part of this joint project. To this end, population surveys are being conducted using questionnaires. Quantitative media content analyses are used to collect media and stakeholder frames as well as the respective tenor in the reporting. The project aims to determine the information needs of the population and to observe changes in acceptance over time during the project period.
