SoDoc Workshop 2026

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the SoDoc workshop 2026, which will take place this year at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität (RPTU) in Landau.

We look forward to bringing together doctoral researchers from across the field of social psychology for a few days of exchange, discussion, and collaboration. The workshop provides a supportive environment for participants to present their PhD projects and receive constructive, individualized feedback from experienced scholars.

Beyond project presentations, the SoDoc offers opportunities to connect with peers, discuss shared challenges, and build networks within the social psychology community in an open and collegial atmosphere.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at larissa.damp[at]rptu.de if you have any questions.

All sessions will take place at the Rote Kaserne in Landau, which is located right in the city centre.

Plenary and keynote sessions will be held in Room 005 (ground floor), which also offers space for drinks and refreshments. Small group workshop sessions will take place in the seminar rooms on the first floor. The ground floor rooms are barrier-free accessible, please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements so we can plan accordingly.

We will provide snacks (such as pretzels) and drinks throughout the workshop. We ask participants to bring their own lunch. There is a university cafeteria on campus, and the city centre location means there are also plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.

We will organise one Pizza Night during the workshop, the costs of which will be covered by the organisers. Please note, however, that we will not be covering the cost of any other meals out.

We have arranged a discounted rate at the Parkhotel Landau for workshop participants. To access this rate, please mention when booking that you are attending a workshop organised by RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. Please note that availability is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking early.

Alternatively, you may wish to try one of the following accommodations, though availability cannot be guaranteed:

As Landau has a limited number of hotels, you may also consider staying in Karlsruhe or Neustadt an der Weinstraße, both of which are easily reachable by train. We recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible.

The workshop is free for all participants. However, participants are responsible for their own accommodation, travel, and food expenses.
