Forschungsinteressen
- Intelligenz
- Was macht ein intelligentes Gehirn aus? Ist es eine besonders gute Vernetzung? - Oder eine außergewöhnliche Effizienz?Um die Grundlagen der menschlichen Intelligenz besser zu verstehen, untersuche ich die intrinsische Konnektivität des Gehirns und die Effizienz der Aktivierung des Gehirns bei kognitiven Herausforderungen.
- Persönlichkeit
- Wirkt sich Ängstlichkeit auf unsere Konzentrationsfähigkeit und kognitive Leistungen aus? Schneiden ängstliche Menschen bei anspruchsvollen Aufgaben schlechter ab? Um zu verstehen, welche Rolle unsere Persönlichkeit bei der Bewältigung kognitiver Aufgaben spielt, vergleiche ich, wie Ängstlichkeit mit der Effektivität versus Effizienz kognitiver Prozesse zusammenhängt.
- Resilienz
Wie wirkt sich unsere persönliche Art, Informationen aus unserer Umwelt zu verarbeiten, auf unser psychisches Befinden aus? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, untersuche ich die neuronalen Mechanismen positiver Verzerrungen der affektiven Informationsverarbeitung und ihre Rolle für die Resilienz gegenüber stressbedingten psychischen Erkrankungen.
