Internship abroad? Definitely!
Yes, you can also do a funded internship abroad!
There are a number of options for financial support, each of which is subject to different requirements and conditions, particularly with regard to
- the recognition of the internship for your studies at RPTU
- the location of the internship (within/outside the EU)
- the subject of study, especially teaching profession yes/no
Stay abroad and PsychThG
If you are aiming for a licensing examination under the new Psychotherapists Act (Reform 2020), we currently advise against the recognition of achievements from other countries.
This is due to the risks involved in registering for the licensing examination with the state examination offices after your studies. We very much regret the current situation and are committed to changing this.
Erasmus+ (other European countries - application to the internship provider)
Target group: all students
Activity: no content requirements - recognition during studies is mandatory
Duration: different variants (short/long term) possible
For internships in other European countries, apply directly to the EU Service Point. [Even if the funding is provided by Erasmus+, the International Office at RPTU is not responsible for this.]
You must clarify the recognition within your studies at RPTU in advance with a supervisor from your field of study and conclude a Learning Agreement for Traineeship.
PROMOS (non-European countries - application to the International Office at RPTU in Landau)
Internships or final theses in non-European countries can be funded via Promos. Internships should aim to be recognized for your studies. You must clarify this with a supervisor from your field of study.
Application deadline for the following year: Dec/Jan. Funding is very limited, however, as PROMOS gives priority to study abroad.
