Upon application, the Local Ethics Committee issues an opinion on the ethical justifiability of the objectives and procedures of research projects involving psychological issues. Applications are submitted by the scientist responsible for the research project.

Important notes: (1) Applications relating to studies with medical or pharmacological questions and methods cannot generally be reviewed by this LEK. (2) The responsibility of the scientist for the research project remains unaffected by the opinion of the Ethics Committee, so that all consequences under civil law and liability law are to be borne by the applicant.
