In principle, students can
go abroad from the 3rd Bachelor's semester or the 1st Master's semester. There is a maximum quota of 12 months per study cycle (i.e. a maximum of 12 months in the Bachelor's program, another maximum of 12 months in the Master's program and another maximum of 12 months in the PhD program).
Students first choose a host university.
There are a number of European and non-European partner universities to choose from, which have concluded agreements with the appropriate department at RPTU. These agreements facilitate the application process. However, there is also the option of going to a foreign university that is not a partner university at RPTU for a period of time. This may require more organization on the part of the student.
Guest stays at partner universities are usually financially supported - depending on the agreement with ERASMUS+ funding or PROMOS funding. However, even without a partnership agreement, you can apply for PROMOS funding as a so-called freemover - or study abroad completely independently.
