Application KliPP, M.Sc.

Below you will find all the information you need for your application to us - good luck!

  1. A Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (B.Sc. Psychology) that meets the requirements of the PsychThApprO and was completed with an overall grade of at least 3.0.

Applicants who are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program described above at the time of the application deadline, but who do not yet have a degree and for whom only the evaluation and provision of services to a limited extent is outstanding, so that at least 120 credit points in the Bachelor's degree program can be proven to have already been completed, are also free to apply. In this case, proof must be provided that the requirements of the PsychThG and PsychThApprO will be fulfilled with the Bachelor's degree.
However, enrolment in the Master's degree course under these conditions expires if proof of successful completion of the Bachelor's degree is not provided by the end of the first semester of the Master's degree course. You can only be enrolled twice up to this point.
  2. If your Bachelor's degree is a new B.Sc. degree program recognized under professional law, we require proof by means of the completed form "Certificate of (probable) completion of the degree program and recognition of the degree program under professional law". This must be signed by your Bachelor's university.
If corresponding proof, as per case A on the form, is already shown on your Bachelor's certificate or transcript of records, you do not need to submit this certificate.
  3. If your Bachelor's degree is an older B.Sc. psychology degree program or another equivalent degree, within which you may have completed the knowledge and internship requirements of the licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychThApprO) through additional modules/post-qualifications, we need you to submit
    • the completed form "Certificate of (expected) completion of the degree program and professional recognition of the degree program
    • as well as the additional "Annex 1", a tabular list of the respective contents and associated module scopes and titles.

Please note that both must be signed by your Bachelor's university.

The certificates are required at the time of application and cannot be submitted later!

  4. For the professionally qualifying activities to be completed within the Master's program in our psychotherapy outpatient clinics and with our cooperation partners, measles vaccination and other vaccination requirements (e.g. Covid-19) may apply if required by law. As a rule, an extended police clearance certificate is also required as a prerequisite for admission to the professionally qualifying activities. (These must be submitted at the appropriate time during the course of study).

An application for the 1st semester is possible for the winter semester.

An application with a German university entrance qualification (= Bachelor's degree in Germany) for winter semester 25/26 is possible from May 1 to June 1, 2025 via the previous application portal at RPTU. Both the application period and the application portal are expected to change.

Here you will find information on the current application periods and the current applicant portal at RPTU.
(Please note that the application periods for our Master's degree programs in Psychology
may differ from the other application periods at RPTU and are therefore listed separately in the overview).

An application for a higher semester/change of study location is possible for the winter semester and the summer semester.
The allocation of places depends, among other things, on free capacities in the semester in which you are placed with us. Please note that we cannot offer an individual assessment of the recognition of your previous achievements in advance. Recognition depends heavily on the accuracy of the fit with our courses and modules. Please assume that it is very likely that not all achievements can be recognized by us if you change your place of study.

Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification (= Bachelor's degree abroad) must apply via UniAssist. There is an earlier deadline for this!
Further information can be found via the button above.

ATTENTION:

Please be sure to provide a valid e-mail address with your application, as all further communication will be electronic. If you fill in anything by hand, please make sure that the spelling is legible!

If you are not yet able to submit your Bachelor's degree certificate with your application, we require an average grade of your previous academic achievements. If necessary, please request this explicitly from your university. Your application cannot be processed without an average grade.

The required documents are templates provided by the Faculty of Psychology (FTPs) of the German Psychological Society (DGPs).

If you wish to apply for our KliPP Master's program, we require this form.
This applies to both graduates and currently enrolled Bachelor's students.

Please fill it out, have it signed and stamped by your Bachelor's university and submit it with your application!

The only exception:
You are Option A (according to BewerbungKliPP_1_Besscheinigung_Bachelorabschluss_ggf.voraussichtlich.pdf) and your Bachelor's certificate or the Transcript of Records already show that you have a Bachelor of Science recognized under professional law and that you have completed all the legally required content or will have completed it upon graduation.

Additional documents - to be signed by the Bachelor university!

Information for students of the new Bachelor Stud.Var.II:

  • As soon as you have completed the required content for the approval-compliant variant (Stud.Var.II) of our polyvalent Bachelor's degree, a note will appear on your transcript of records. This note is sufficient to apply for the KliPP Master at RPTU.
  • If you have not yet completed everything, please contact the Examination Office to obtain the "Bewerbung_KliPP1_..." document to be issued. This is also sufficient for an application for the KliPP Master at RPTU. Of course, you must then ensure that you actually successfully complete the decisive contents of Stud.Var. II within your Bachelor's degree. ---> We cannot guarantee whether the latter is also recognized at other universities. You are on the safe side if you have already completed all the decisive modules of Stud.Var.II at the time of application.
