B.Sc. Psychology

polyvalent Bachelor's degree program

In the Bachelor's degree program in Psychology

you will learn about the central contexts of the subject and the application of scientific methods. In addition to knowledge of the fundamentals of psychology, the focus is on initial specialist knowledge in the applied disciplines of psychology (clinical psychology and psychotherapy, educational psychology, business psychology, communication and media psychology) so that you can either face the demands of professional life directly after your Bachelor's degree or complete a further professional Master's degree.

The degree program comprises two study variants:

Study variant I and the subsequent Master's degree program qualify you for a specialized career entry and independent work as a psychologist.
Study variant II qualifies you for a subsequent Master's degree program in accordance with the Psychotherapists Act (PsychThG) and the Licensing Regulations for Psychotherapists (PsychThApprO). The Bachelor's course variant II and the subsequent Master's course are prerequisites for obtaining a license to practice as a psychotherapist.

PsychThG

The new Psychotherapists Act (PsychThG) has been in force since September 1, 2020. The B.Sc Psychology offered at RPTU in Landau is a polyvalent degree program adapted to this PsychThG, which complies with all professional requirements according to PsychThG and licensing regulations (professional recognition).
