When? The internship is completed during the lecture period or during the lecture-free period. A prerequisite for admission is attendance of the first-year courses in the B. Sc. in Humans and Environment. It can therefore be completed in the lecture-free period before the 3rd semester at the earliest.

In general, it is possible to search independently for suitable companies and organizations and can be discussed at any time with the internship advisor of the degree program(muu-praktikum(at)rptu.de). You can find a list with some inspiration and possible internship providers in the download area.

No, the professional internship can only be completed after the first year of study in the B. Sc. Man and Environment, i.e. at the earliest in the lecture-free period before the 3rd semester. Internships completed before the start of the degree course are not recognized.
No, the internship lasts 6 weeks and must be completed in one internship unit.
Yes, as a rule, the internship must be completed full-time (35 - 40 hours per week). If an internship is completed part-time, the number of hours worked must be converted into the full-time equivalent and certified.
We can recognize online internships if the internship location can confirm the period (6 weeks) and number of hours (full-time or conversion from part-time to full-time equivalent) required according to the examination regulations and the activity meets the content requirements.
Yes, the internship can be completed not only in Germany, but also abroad. In both cases, it is important that all requirements for recognition are met. Tip: Funding is possible, for example through the Erasmus+ program.
If the internship is arranged through an organization against payment of a fee, this fee must be paid by the student.
Whether or not payment is made during the internship is not relevant for recognition.

The internship report is a short report of 3 pages and includes
- Description of the overall institution with the name of the supervisor and his/her function in the institution
- Description of the relevant activities related to the degree program or the selected profile lines
- Personal assessments and experiences related to the degree program or the selected profile lines
- Signature of the intern

After completing an internship, electronic copies (PDFs) of the internship report and the internship certificate must besent to the examination office at the Landau location(pruefungsamt- ld@rptu.de)AND to the internship advisory service(muu-praktikum(at)rptu.de).

The internship is worth 8 ECTS. The clipping is carried out by the examination office.
