Free study module

As part of the module "psy23_M.V. Free study module" you must acquire 10 CP. The module is a compulsory module.

1. attendance of courses in the M.Sc. Psychology of the Psychology department that you do not attend as part of your compulsory or compulsory elective courses and which are already credited to you for this purpose.

 

2. attendance of courses in the B.Sc. Psychology of the Department of Psychology, provided that this has not already taken place as part of the previous B.Sc. degree program (e.g. for transfer students who want to catch up on a subject)


3. a project work offered by one of the working units of the Department of Psychology


4. attending courses or completing project work in other
degree programs at RPTU


5. attending courses or completing project work at other
universities within or outside Germany

 

6. attending courses to teach key skills
(academic writing, presenting, etc.)


7. attending courses that have been speciallydesignedfor the free workload as additional
courses (e.g. an in-depth seminar on one of the
basic subjects in the B.Sc. psychology program that is not continued in the Master's program)

1. select a course in the Psychology degree program or another degree program at RPTU or another university

2. contact the lecturer and clarify whether you can earn points for the free study module in the Master's program in Psychology in his/her course. If yes, discuss with him/her directly how many points you can earn and what you have to do to earn them.

3 You complete the course.

4. have your performance certified by the lecturer(form in the download area). Please obtain the original signature from the lecturer.

5. after you have collected all points, please send the form to Anja Hoßmann (a.hossmann[at]rptu.de) at the Dean's office Psychology.

At least 2 modules from application subjects:

  • M.G. Political Psychology
  • M.J. Clinical Psychology: Health*
  • M.O. Applications of Business Psychology
  • M.P. Psychological Aspects of Organizational Communication
  • M.Q. Media Psychology
  • M.R. Environmental Psychology
  • M.S. Global Challenges
  • M.T. Self- and Affect Regulation: Fundamentals and Application in Clinical Psychology*
  • M. U. Clinical Psychology of the Elderly*

* Students applying for licensure at psychotherapy training institutes should take at least 1 of these modules. Please also clarify directly with your preferred training institutes how many points are required for the application.
