I am a placebo researcher and a licensed psychotherapist in CBT. After I completed my PhD at the University of Marburg, I spent a year as a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School in Boston where I worked on mechanisms of open-label placebo treatment and on the nocebo response in COVID-19 vaccination. Since I started my position in Prof. Glombiewski’s lab, I am excited to extend my perspectives to the field of psychotherapy research, including CBT in chronic pain and single-case experimental designs. Additionally, I am involved in the European-wide project PANACEA which aims to reduce the gap between the scientific evidence of placebo/nocebo effects and the clinical practice. Besides my research activities, I treat patients with psychiatric or psychosomatic conditions, and I teach students in clinical psychology and CBT.
