Christian von Sikorski ist Junior-Professor für Politische Psychologie (mit Tenure-Track) am Institut für Kommunikationspsychologie und Medienpädagogik (Fachbereich Psychologie) der Universität Koblenz-Landau (Campus Landau). In Forschung und Lehre beschäftig er sich mit Themen der Politischen Psychologie sowie der politischen Kommunikation. Insbesondere forscht er zu den Themen politische Polarisierung, der Rolle von Fehl- und Desinformationen in modernen digitalen Medienumgebungen, politischen Skandalen und der Terrorismusberichterstattung und ihren Einflüssen auf Intergruppenbeziehungen und politische Einstellungen.

Seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten erschienen in führende internationalen Fachzeitschriften wie Annals of the International Communication AssociationCommunication ResearchInternational Journal of Press/Politics, Political PsychologyMedia PsychologyPolitical CommunicationNature Communications. Zwischen 2015 und 2019 war Christian von Sikorski als Wissenschaftler an der Universität Wien tätig. Zuvor war er Gastwissenschaftler an der Chinese University of Hong Kong (2013) und der New York University (NYU, 2012).
